Update 8: Three of Wands


New PDF release.

  • Typefaces changed again. New typeface for the title and for game element names (such as skills and enemies) has better support for glyphs and better character recognition, and the vast majority of body text is now in a serif font.
  • The rulebook has been massively condensed by changing specific terms, rewriting certain bits of text, changing how game elements like enemies and skills are formatted, and using the two-column setup throughout the text. In all, page count has been reduced by 356 (just under a third!)
    • "Hand-to-hand" weapons are now "Fist-Loads". This has the added bonus of being more specific/correct for the majority of cases, since "hand-to-hand" applies to things like swords too.
    • All instances of "Critical Range" are now "Criticality".
    • All instances of "CL-based SLv Limit" are now "Growth Limit".
    • All instances of "Obstructed Movement" are "Halting". Objects which block sight and movement will continue to be called "obstructions".
    • All instances of "Classification" are "Genus"/"Genera".
    • Removed subtitles from most mentions of Named Enemies. (Rosiermor, Swordstress of the Demonarch Tree → Rosiermor)
    • Since we're leaning hard into Abrahamic themes anyway...
      • All instances of "Vanishing" are now "Exodus".
      • All instances of "Great Invasion" are now "Pandemonium".
  • Added illustrations of most of the Demonarchs, and two Named Enemies.
  • Revised the names of a few Cash Shop items which were meant to be explicit references to media and literature.
  • "Move up to your Movement while attacking" is now "Move up to full Movement".
  • Fixed several embarrassing errors.
    • Flying Servant under Nightcaller now correctly includes the data of the Flying Servant.
    • Whoops! I forgot the Lizardfolk's Class Explanation was actually the Draconian's this whole time! Fixed.
    • Fixed a few instances of "Magic Accuracy" being written as "Melee Accuracy", "Melee Attack" being written as "Shooting Attack", etc.
    • Fixed a few instances of enemies having incorrect/non-numerical values for certain stats/attacks.
    • Fixed several instances of enemy weapons/skills having activation/range/fatigue/cooldown keywords but lacking the text for their actual effects.
    • Fixed a few instances of Labyrinth of Phantasma events having incorrect values for specific difficulties (including the 2-4 event that appears on all terrains.)
    • Demonarch flavor text got some revisions

Oh, and a super-quick stealth update because I forgot some stuff.

  • Added game-icons.net to credits.
  • Moved the "last exported" text to the next page.
  • Slightly revised the Copyright, Credits, and Reuse text. Requesting that other games name "Genesis" at all probably isn't the best of ideas.
